Future Heat Series - 2nd inquiry launched
The second inquiry of the Future Heat Series, co-chaired by Jonathan Reynolds MP Dan Byles MP, which examines the future of heat for buildings has been launched. Policy for Heat, which is sponsored by IGEM, will explore policy options to bring about the transformations required to meet carbon targets identified in part one of the Future Heat Series, published in November 2014.
The format of this half-day conference was a panel debate followed by audience Q&A. IGEM were represented by our Technical Services Manager, Keith Needham and Dan Sadler, Head of Future Energy, Northern Gas Networks who participated in the panel.
The focus of the secon inquiry will be to explore the following topics in more depth:
Delivering energy efficiency
The role of local authorities & the future of the RHI
The inquiry will report during 2015.
