Founded in 1863 as the British Association of Gas Managers by the 11900+ gas companies who operated in the United Kingdom prior to nationalization.

The purpose of the Institution was, as still is, to act as a focal point for formulating and standardising codes of practice and technical standards for the industry, to provide a netural forum for exchange of technical and managerial information, to ensure that the professional standards of individual gas engineers and those associated with the gas industry are maintained, and to encourage good practice through exchange of information.

Founded in 1862, The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Ltd was the first privately run public utility in East Asia. Its main business includes the production and distribution of town gas and marketing of gas appliances to about 1.6 million households and businesses in Hong Kong. In the past decade, it has actively developed city piped gas in China which makes it the biggest piped gas company in China.

GH-­‐Fusion Corporation Ltd. was founded in October 2002 as a joint venture between The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited and The Fusion Group of UK. Leveraging the worldwide experience from Towngas in gas engineering application and that of UK's Fusion Group in design and production of polyethylene (PE) piping system and equipment, GH-­‐Fusion set up its manufacturing, research and development headquarter in the city of Zhongshan in Guangdong province. Today, high quality PE piping and fittings are produced from more than ten production lines from the Zhongshan based manufacturing complex that also serves as the regional logistics hub for a total PE application solution in gas and water industries in the mainland China and the nearby regions. GH-­‐Fusion also operates regional service centers in Jiangsu, Hubei, Shanxi and Sichuan provinces. GH-­‐Fusion has been recognized as the leading quality total PE solution and services provider in the mainland China as well as the leader in technological innovation for piping system for gas and water.

Our company is a Registered Gas Contractor under the Hong Kong Gas Safety Ordinance, with extra endorsement for works in bulk LPG supply installations. The following lines of work are covered by our company:-

1.1 LPG Supply System Installation for Housing Developments and Commercial Customers

Scope includes whole systems from storage facilities, through pressure regulating systems, reticulation systems, to the final meters inside consumers' premises.

Past projects include:-

• Chinese University Animal Laboratory LPG supply system - 2005
• Discovery Bay Phase 14 & 15 residential developments (350 residential units) - 2009 to present

1.2 LPG system installation for Auto LPG stations

System includes bulk tanks, pumps, pipelines, dispensers, and peripheral control systems.

Past projects include:-

• China Resources Chai Wan Station - 2004
• Esso Princess Margaret Road Station - 2005

1.3 Bulk tank revalidation work

Work includes excavating the tank from underground, perform ultrasound thickness test for the shell, perform magnetic particle test for the weld seams, repainting, and installation of cathodic protection system prior to re-burying the tank.

Clients include all major LPG suppliers in Hong Kong (ExxonMobil, Shell, Sinopec and Chevron). Tank capacity ranges from 5 kL to 23 kL.

• 5 tanks so far in 2011
• On average 10 + tanks each year from 2008 to 2010

1.4 Regular maintenance & repair contractor

Since 2002, our company has been ExxonMobil's contractor for regular maintenance and repair work for their LPG systems. These include replacing rusty or damaged pipe sections, repairing faulty equipment, and attending to emergency repairs.

1.5 Statutory Inspection Work

Carry out the following statutory inspections for LPG suppliers in Hong Kong. For these works, a "Competent Person" Class 1 or 2 (a professional engineer) is engaged to sign off the certificates:-

• Annual inspections to LPG installations
• Bi / Tri-annual underground pipeline leak tests
• Five-yearly tests of LPG vaporizers

These works are spread out throughout the year. On average, 4 - 5 such jobs are done each month.

LPG DEALER
Our company is appointed by ExxonMobil as the "piped-in-gas-system" (PIGS) operator for 2 systems in Hong Kong, supplying gas to 1500 housing units. Responsibilities include managing the 1500 accounts, regular inspections to the system to ensure safety and continuity of gas supply, and the sale and installation of gas appliances.

We are also an LPG cylinder dealer for ExxonMobil, with 2 showrooms in Hong Kong serving about 2000 customers.

PROVISION OF TECHNICIAN SERVICE TO EXXONMOBIL

We supply ExxonMobil with their LPG technician services. Duties include scheduled inspection & maintenance and 24-hour attendance to emergency calls.

Shanghai Fiorentini Gas Equipment Co. Ltd is established in May, 1995, and invested by Shanghai Aerospace Power Machinery Co. Ltd under China Aerospace Technique Group Co. Ltd, Pietro Fiorentini S.P.A, and Shanghai Dazhong Gas Co. Ltd. It is the first and meanwhile the biggest joint venture engaged in research, development, design, manufacture, sales and technical service for gas reducing and metering stations for gas transmission and distribution. Shanghai Fiorentini commits herself to working on the integrated technology of gas reducing and metering as well as the total solutions. The products range from the integrated products of reducing systems, including gas reducing & metering stations, medium-high pressure city gates, compressed natural gas reducing stations, and two-stage reducing stations etc., to pressure vessels, including filters, filtering separators, vortex separators, heat exchange, water bath boilers, insulating joints, and pig launching equipment etc., to monitoring system, including the gas business management about general information system, SCADA gas distribution monitoring system, station-control system, and capacity data writer etc., o valves, including pressure regulators, slam-shut valves, flow regulating valves, globe valves and butterfly valves etc., to measuring products, including the turbine flowmeters, orifice plate flowmeters, flow measuring meters etc.

WHNG is the most prestigious gas company among 84 joint-ventures in the group of The Hong Kong & China Co. Ltd. It was established in June 2003.
