IGEM joins forces with NICEIC to improve on-site guides for operatives

IGEM has formed a strategic alliance with NICEIC Certification to improve and validate its range of gas publications.

NICEIC Certification, a brand of Certsure LLP, is one of the largest ACS personal certification bodies in the UK and IGEM has been promoting excellence in the gas industry since it was founded in 1863.

The professional engineering institution has applied its 150-year history driving upstream and downstream standards to ensure NICEIC Certifications are technically sound and fall in line with IGEM standards, Codes of Practice and procedures.

IGEM Technical Services Manager Keith Needham said "As one of the most established and trusted organisations working within the gas sector, IGEM is proud to be able to share its knowledge and experience through this unique partnership.
"Nowhere else can operators be assured of receiving guidance that has been ratified by our robust technical structure. Having one of these guides on you when you are on site is a way of demonstrating your commitment to technical excellence and compliance with the highest of standards.

"Putting our seal of approval on these documents is our way of giving assurance to operators that they have the best possible knowledge at their fingertips at all times."

About NICEIC Certification's Gas Manuals

Whether as an experienced gas engineer or a new entrant to the gas industry, the information contained within the range of NICEIC Certification's manuals will be an invaluable resource that is always close to hand.

The manuals are designed by practiced gas engineers for gas engineers and are produced as A5, ring bound publications allowing them to be easily stored and laid flat or folder over when being referenced.

The breadth of technical detail including supporting illustrations and photographs contained within each of the gas manuals sees their widespread use within training and assessment centres for candidates undergoing initial ACS assessment and/or re-assessment.
