News from IGEM FEDS

On 1st March, 2016 (Tue), the Institution of Gas Engineers & Managers, Far East District Section (IGEM FEDS) launched the “IGEM FEDS New Member Reception Ceremony cum Welcome Dinner” at Suzhou, China. This is the first ever social event for the district members of the Institution in China. More than 100 guests and professional experts from the industry attended and received their professional recognition.

 

 

Officiating at the ceremony, there were IGEM president, Mr. Chris Clarke, IGEM CEO, Mr. Sarb Bajwa and IGEM FEDS Chairman, Mr. Duncan Wong as the key participants. Besides, FEDS was honored to have the Executive Director & Chief Operating Officer of Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited (HKCG), Mr. Peter W.Y. Wong and the Deputy Director of Electrical & Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) of the HKSAR government, Mr. Alfred Sit joining this momentous function.

 

  

 

After a delightful kick off speech by the FEDS Chairman, the ceremony commenced. Mr. Chris Clark and Mr. Peter W.Y. Wong were welcomed on stage presenting the certificates of recognition to FEDS members in China. Over 30 Industrial Affiliate Members and around 20 individual members got their honor in hand and they were proud to be an IGEM member.

 

 

Following the stately ceremony, IGEM FEDS has arranged a welcome dinner for the members. Our guest speaker, Mr. Peter W.Y. Wong, appreciated IGEM and IGEM FEDS on their efforts in the region and was happy to see the growth of FEDS. The President also delivered his first ever speech to the members in China region, given a detailed introduction on IGEM as well as affirming the achievement in FEDS. Right after the President speech, all prominent guests stepped on the stage and toasted for another prosperous year of IGEM. Everybody enjoyed and got a memorable night.
