The 25th Annual General Meeting of IGEM FEDS
The Institution of Gas Engineers & Managers – Far East District Section (IGEM FEDS) conducted the 25th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 7 May 2021 at Towngas Headquarters, Hong Kong. 33 members and guests attended the meeting with 4 via virtual platform.
Mr. Peter CHAK, Secretary of FEDS, kicked off the AGM by presenting the minutes of the 24th AGM. Mr. Pak-kin CHEUNG, Chairman of FEDS, delivered the Chairman’s Annual Report. The key activities of FEDS in session 2020/2021 were highlighted, such as the MOU signing with Jiangsu Province Gas & Heat Association in Nanjing on 20 October 2020, IGEM Display Panel at China Gas Expo in Chengdu in early November 2020, the YPPC 2020 FEDS Final on 6 November 2020, and the LPG engineering training course during Q4 2020 and Q1 2021. Ms. Winky LUI, the Hon Treasurer, then presented the Financial Report.
An announcement was made on the retired management committee members with a note of gratitude and an appreciation of their contribution. A certificate of service was presented to Mr. Albert LEUNG who retired from Council Member, and Mr. Kin-Fai LEE who retired from Ordinary Member. New members of the Management Committee for session 2021/2022 were installed. A certificate of appointment was awarded to Mr. David LEE as Ordinary Member and Ms. Mandy LAI as Co-opted Member.
Mr. Pak-kin CHEUNG, the Chair in Session 2020/2021, would keep on serving for the session 2021/2022, and delivered his chairman’s brief account of the way forward, expressing a dedication in bringing another fruitful and rewarding session to our members in the year ahead.
